Buckhorn Creek has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by, and Duncans Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. Hiking is a popular thing to do around West Pond; Campbell Creek Loop is a pleasant local trail; playing golf is lots of fun at Carolina Lakes Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Sleep Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest, and Buffalo Lakes is a splendid lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful.

| | West Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and do take a hike on the Northington Ferry Trail. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SPRING LAKE-FT. BRAGG/POPE AFB is a brilliant choice. Lakes? Sure, Kiest Lake is close at hand. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. You're sure to come across some great people from Sanford here, and West Pond is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Heritage Camping | |

and Recreation is a tremendous site to camp nearby. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Lanier Falls Trail. West Pond
commonly gets much precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the days of summer at West Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is
down it dips down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at West Pond.

Smith Lake
 | 13 miles away Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
