Bearpen Branch flows through this area, and a magnificent site for whitewater paddling is Pigeon River - West Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Palmer Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and Hemphill Mountain Campground is a splendid campground nearby. And that's not all you can do here at Waynesville Reservoir. If you need a site to stay Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn is a delightful choice, and Waynesville Reservoir is a good site to visit for more than one day, Trail's End RV Park is a good site to camp nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Near Waynesville Reservoir you locate Big Cove which is a brilliant spot to stop by, and good hiking is available along the Art Loeb Trail. The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and Waynesville Water Supply Dam is a pretty place. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is excellent!
