An interesting thing to visit in close proximity to Watson Lake is Watson Lake Dam; if you need a spot to stay Jameson Inn Sanford is a pleasant choice. Glide down the rapids of Buckhorn Creek in a kayak; a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sanford, Nc. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Campbell Creek Loop, and if you come at the right time of year, Deep River offers

If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Carolina Lakes Golf Course is close at hand; there are great spots to explore along the Lanier Falls Trail. Watson Lake is a rather wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; all through May this area sees the most rain; September on the other hand is the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Watson Lake; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. | |

The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Watson Lake.

Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Jordan Dam RV Park and Campground is a fine local campground, and don't leave Watson Lake without first going for a hike along the Northington Ferry Trail.
