If you came to camp W Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir is a magnificent spot to do that, and while you're here, you could go to Beaver Creek. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's       so much to do here at Walsh Fishing Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rider's Roost is a brilliant site for that, and from Walsh Fishing Lake you acquire a perfect view of Greasy Mountain. This is a splendid neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Girl Scout Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Walsh Fishing Lake Dam is not far at all from Walsh Fishing Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Jameson Inn Lenoir is a fine choice;                  if you come at the right time of year, Elk Creek offers some splendid whitewater. At Walsh Fishing Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Walsh Fishing Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Walsh Fishing Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place!
