A large amount of rain falls at W W Jones Lake; the month with most of the rain is March, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So much exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Go for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend       Catawba River. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Broad River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything W W Jones Lake has to offer, you can camp at Whispering Ridge Campground. So many enjoyable things to do at W W Jones Lake, so little time. Some of the water nearby flows, like California Branch, and after a long day outdoors Marion Super 8 Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. There's no way somebody can get                  bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A charming lake like Structure Number Six B Lake in the neighborhood of W W Jones Lake is a magnificent location to stop by, and the top of Grassy Mountain is easily seen from W W Jones Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not have a look at Lake Brooks right next door to W W Jones Lake; Marion Days Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. For the period of the summer months, highs regularly are in the 80's at W W Jones Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at W W Jones Lake during the wintertime regularly fall into the 20's.
