For the period of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Von Canon Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Von Canon Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. There are plenty of folks from Southern Pines here at Von Canon Lake, and a nice spot to camp here at Von Canon Lake is Pine Lake Campground. And that's not all you can       do here at Von Canon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Von Canon Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Heritage Camping and Recreation is a nice local campground, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Lake McKenzie is one of those nearby. A lot of rain falls at Von Canon Lake; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is April. Get soaked paddling on Deep River, and if you need a place to stay Pinehurst Resort is a                  wonderful choice. After a long day outdoors Homewood Suites Olmsted Village-Near Pinehurst is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.
