Vinson Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Laurel Lakes Campground and Music Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and a glorious nearby hotel is Fayetteville Red Roof Inn. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Vinson Pond has to offer,       you can camp at Fayetteville Koa; you'll meet a lot of people from Fayetteville here. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Vinson Pond highs are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; night lows in the 20's for Vinson Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Vinson Pond a wet spot; August is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is                  the driest. Piney Pocosin is a splendid location here at Vinson Pond, and if you get bored of Vinson Pond you could also stop at nearby Bullard Pond.
