This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Upper Lake is Holly Bluff Family Campground, and do take a hike on the Birkhead Trail. You're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Lexington-Thomasville here, and Country Hearth Inn Thomasville is a brilliant place to get some rest. Throughout the warm months highs here at Upper Lake get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's.       High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Upper Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Upper Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Hollow Campground is a great local campground; playing golf is lots of fun at Lakewood Par 3 Golf Course. Upper Lake generally gets much precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. But wait, there's                  more to do close to Upper Lake.
