Upper Colonial Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Hollow Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Crestwood Suites - Greensboro-Airport is a great place to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Upper Colonial Lake a wet place; July is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Paddling on Dan River is so much fun, and a delightful nearby hotel is Greensboro-High Point Marriott

| | Airport. At Upper Colonial Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Upper Colonial Lake plunge into the 20's. folks from Greensboro-High Point here. There's some interesting stuff to see at Upper Colonial Dam in the neighborhood of Upper Colonial Lake, and not far from Upper Colonial Lake you'll locate Wood Lake which is a scenic lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Longview Golf Course. Lakes are tremendous; Hillside Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Upper Colonial Lake.

 | 19 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... |
