This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Franklin Hotel is a nice choice, and at University Lake you can see McCauley Mount. Here at University Lake there are plenty of folks from Durham, and University Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Spring Hill Park is a glorious local campground. University Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with lots of precipitation; during July       this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is April. High temperatures at University Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for University Lake. Mountain Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling                  on Haw River. A splendid close by hotel is Carolina Inn, and a delightful place to camp here at University Lake is Birchwood RV Park. New Hope Creek is a perfect whitewater spot near University Lake, and hey, East Branch Price Creek is a wonderful local stream. While you're here at University Lake you can play some golf at Twin Lakes Golf Course, and if you're here, you could also explore scenic Lake Hogan. This lake is so wonderful.
