This lake is so wonderful. The view of beautiful Bell Knob near Turkey Cove Pond is great, and Holiday Inn Express Wilkesboro, Nc is a great location to get some rest. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Brooks Branch flows through this area, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Reddies River. There are plenty of people from North Wilkesboro here at Turkey Cove       Pond, and there's whitewater on New River for all you adrenaline kick people. Turkey Cove Pond is a wet site that gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and December is when it's the driest.
