Tuckertown Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. A great deal of rainfall falls at Tuckertown Reservoir; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; April is the month with the least moisture. The fine folks of Albemarle like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Tuckertown Reservoir is right by the Birkhead Trail, and Whip-o-will Family Campground is a perfect campground here.

After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn & Suites is a great location to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Uwharrie Jeep Trail. Stay the night at Badin Lake Campground; paddling on Uwharrie River is so much fun.
