If you are in this part of North Carolina make sure to pay a visit to Tuckertown Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Tuckertown Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Birkhead Trail, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Uwharrie River. Jeep Trail.

Going for a hike on the Uwharrie National Recreation Trail is always a good adventure, and Tuckertown Dam is a site that is in the neighborhood of Tuckertown Reservoir.
