The beauty of Trout Lake is reason enough to stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Trout Lake a wet site; May is when you get the most rain here while December is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Appalachian Mountain around here. There's so much to do here at Trout Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Boone KOA is a glorious location for that. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more

| | exciting stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's some flowing water nearby, Chestnut Branch is a stream you can stop by while here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Yadkin River. Have a good hiking adventure along the Yancey Ridge Trail, and you're sure to stumble upon some friendly people from Boone here. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. much entertaining stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is great! If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Trout Lake Dam. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Trout Lake has to offer,
you can camp at Hitchin Post RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you acquire a vista of Pine Knob from Trout Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Elk Creek offers some good whitewater. While you're here
at Trout Lake you can take a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail, and Roaring River Chalets is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Summertime highs at Trout Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly
in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Trout Lake.
