Trout Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summertime highs at Trout Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Trout Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Hiking along the Yancey Ridge Trail is magnificent fun, and Bass Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Hawksnest

| | is wonderful, and if you need a place to stay Ridgeway Inn is a wonderful choice. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Trout Lake is right by the Daniel Boone Scout Trail, and you don’t have to go far from Trout Lake to distinguish the water at Trout Lake Dam. Blue Ridge Mountains. The high level of precipitation makes Trout Lake a rather wet place; May is when you get the most rain here, and December on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day
to discover everything Trout Lake has to offer, you can camp at Morgan's Mountain Retreat, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Watauga River. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Trout Lake has it all. Blowing Rock
Victorian Inn B&B is a delightful place to get some rest. Everybody close by loves skiing at Appalachian Mountain; drift down the rapids of Boone Fork in a kayak. And that's not all you can do here at Trout Lake. Getting to Hoot Camp Branch from Trout Lake is painless, and you can stay the night at Appalachian Campground.
