This spot is so good, just look at all the enjoyable things to do next to Trout Lake. If you need a location to stay The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a tremendous choice; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Ellicott Rock Trail. A short spree to Betsy Falls is always worthwhile, and Tuckasegee Lake is a delightful lake nearby. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the Blue       Ridge Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tuckasegee River - West Fork, and hiking along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is delightful fun. Trout Lake is right by the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Scaly Mountain. So many enjoyable things to do at Trout Lake, so little time. Golf can be played at High Hampton Inn & Country Club, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop at Lake Glenville. Through the warmest time of the year at Trout Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Trout Lake. Trout Lake ordinarily gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
