Trout Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. At Trout Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Trout Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Near Trout Lake you hit upon great sites       like Bull Gap; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Tuckasegee Lake is just a very short distance away. No need to travel far to stop by interesting stuff like Onion Cliff; Cataloochee has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Trout Lake Dam has fine water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Trout Lake; a short journey to Betsy Falls is always worthwhile. There's good hiking along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and as expected,                  this is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes, Jenkins Lake is a lake in close proximity. Be careful coming to Trout Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like High Hampton Inn & Country Club, and why not camp at Singing waters Camping Resort if you're here at Trout Lake. Trout Lake gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is October. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Trout Lake; Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is a pleasant local trail, and why not a little side tour to Bell Coney Branch. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. The peak of Chestnut Mountain can be seen from Trout Lake, and if you need a spot to stay The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a fine choice. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ellicott Rock Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Arrowmont Stables and Cabins is a great place to camp. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norton Creek, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Scaly Mountain. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Trout Lake. Tuckasegee River - West Fork is a wonderful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Trout Lake; dry warm beds await you at Sapphire Valley Resort.
