Toms Hole sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Squalling Bluff Cove is close to Toms Hole and is a fine location to take a look at; on a great day you can take a hike along the Tarheel Trail. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Toms Hole get into the 80's. Once       the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and overnight lows at Toms Hole during the wintertime typically dip into the 30's. So much enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Toms Hole, clearly impressive. Toms Hole is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Horses to Harleys Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. There is a fine hiking trail next to Toms Hole called the History Trail, and don't                  forget to take a tremendous little tour to Rowan Creek. Sandy Bluff is an attention-grabbing location to visit while at Toms Hole, and a swamp like Hawes Marsh right next door to Toms Hole has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful.
