Putneys Lake is a lake nearby, and why not camp at Kamper's Lodge Of America if you're here at Toisnot Reservoir. At Toisnot Reservoir all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Toisnot Reservoir temperatures dip to the 20's. Super 8 Wilson       is a great spot to get some rest; a fine location for whitewater paddling is Tar River. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Wilson; you're sure to bump into some nice folks from Wilson here. The high level of precipitation makes Toisnot Reservoir a rather wet spot; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably hooked on lakes, Lake Wilson is one of those nearby, and a                  round of golf at nearby Wedgewood Public Golf Course is a pleasant way to kill some time. Be careful coming to Toisnot Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
