Whitewater paddling is great on Tar River; a pleasant close by hotel is Matthews Motel. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wedgewood Public Golf Course is in close proximity. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Toisnot Reservoir. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with       lows in the 20's to Toisnot Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Heart of Wilson Motel is a great choice, and Toisnot Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Rock Ridge Campground is a good local campground. If you came to camp Kamper's Lodge Of America is a great place to do that; lots of people from Wilson come here.
