This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Why not camp at Black Forest Family Camping while you're here at Thunder Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Matthews Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Thunder Lake without first checking out       Raven Cliff, and if you're here why not check out Jones Gap. This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and why not take a little trip to Buckhorn Creek since you're here. Thunder Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. The warmest time of the year at Thunder Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer                  nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Thunder Lake. Very fine water scenery is available at Thunder Lake Dam right next door to Thunder Lake, and Rodeway Inn Brevard is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Having a wonderful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. Put some time aside to spend at Raven Cliff Falls since you're here at Thunder Lake; while you're here, you could also stop by gorgeous Eagles Nest Lake. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is so good! There's whitewater on Little River for all you adrenaline kick people; don't leave Thunder Lake without first going for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. You're sure to stumble upon some friendly people from Brevard here; there are fine sites to discover along the Mullinax Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Beckworth Hill is pretty and can be distinguished from Thunder Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a good place to spend a night or two. Man, is there a load of cool things to do in the vicinity of Thunder Lake.
