So many fun things to do here at Thunder Lake, too great to be true. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and Raven Cliff is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. The warmest time of the year at Thunder Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's,       and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Thunder Lake drop into the 20's. Hiking along the Black Mountain Trail is good fun, and Thunder Lake is in the neighborhood of Jones Gap which is beyond doubt worth visiting. There's so much to do here at Thunder Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp High Rocks is a tremendous site for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Matthews Creek.                  If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BREVARD is a splendid choice, and there's always Thunder Lake Dam to pop by near Thunder Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a view of Beckworth Hill from Thunder Lake, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Little River. So many enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Take a hike on the Mullinax Trail It's always wonderful to explore Raven Cliff Falls. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Eagles Nest Lake is in the vicinity of Thunder Lake; at Thunder Lake you always meet someone from Brevard. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably addicted to lakes, Lake Arrowhead is one of those nearby, and why not check out close by Buckhorn Creek since you're here at Thunder Lake. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Yeah, come here to Thunder Lake for a good time. Hampton Inn Brevard NC is a nice spot to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Thunder Lake has to offer, you can camp at Black Forest Family Camping.
