Why not stop by Thrash Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. All the water falling down from the sky makes Thrash Lake a wet location; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Ski Beech has fine slopes and a friendly staff,

| | and Walnut Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hit the slopes at Wolf Laurel nearby. If the weather is pretty, you obtain a magnificent view of Hayes Top from Thrash Lake, and going to Blue Ridge Parkway is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. West is a great place to spend a night or two, and the nice folks of Asheville like to hang out close by. Having a splendid time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. A brilliant close by hotel is Holiday Inn ASHEVILLE
- BILTMORE WEST, and there's wonderful hiking along the Laurel Mountain Trail. A great place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Thrash Lake is French Broad River; Brooks Cove is in the neighborhood, and is a wonderful
place. Take a little spree to Bryson Branch since you're here at Thrash Lake, and Thrash Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Asheville West KOA is a delightful place to camp nearby. You'll wish for more
hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Thrash Lake. Lakes? Sure, J and J Fishing Lake is in the vicinity; Rocky Creek Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Thrash Dam has great water scenery
and it's in the vicinity of Thrash Lake, and good hiking is available along the Shut-In Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Thrash Lake, you'll come across Enka Lake which is a lovely lake, and don't leave Thrash Lake without
first going for a hike along the Side Hill Trail. For the period of the summer months highs here at Thrash Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Thrash Lake descend into the 20's.
