So many amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just remarkable. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Ski Beech. Through the summertime here at Thrash Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; night lows during       the winter for Thrash Lake tend to be in the 20's. From Thrash Lake you acquire a pleasant view of Hayes Top, and there's whitewater on Walnut Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Brooks Cove is a great place to spend some time at, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend French Broad River. And that's not all you can do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Blue Ridge Parkway is a very                  delightful location to pop by in close proximity to Thrash Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Thrash Lake; Shut-In Trail is a brilliant local trail.
