Apple Valley Villas is a great spot to get some rest, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Lake Lure is just a very short distance away. All the water falling down from the sky makes The Mountains Lake a wet spot; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is December. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in close       proximity to The Mountains Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Apple Valley Farm Motorcoach Resort is a glorious place to camp, and if you need a site to stay Fairway Villas at Rumbling Bald Resort is a wonderful choice. Lake Lure RV Park and Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rocky Broad River. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge                  Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. The vista of lovely Buzzards Roost near The Mountains Lake is wonderful; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bald Mountain Golf Course is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Buffalo Creek; if you've had enough of The Mountains Lake, Bald Mountain Lake is nearby. That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. The Mountains Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and there's whitewater on Broad River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. All through the warm days of summer at The Mountains Lake highs are commonly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
