Many people like to go to Texas Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Fayetteville Koa is a magnificent location to camp, and there's great hiking along the American Beech Trail. Lakes are fine; Simmons Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Texas Pond, and there's always Texas Pond Dam to check out next to Texas Pond. This place, Texas Pond, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Near Texas Pond you come across a golf course called King's

| | Grant Golf Club; you're probably keen on lakes, Texas Lake is one of those close by. Texas Pond is right by the Fish Camp Trail, and the fine folks of Fayetteville like to hang out close by. There's whitewater on Little River for all you adrenaline people; the Group Camp Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Cape Fear in close proximity to Texas Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Wellons Gateway Inn. | |

This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Spring Lake/Fort Bragg Super 8 Motel is a delightful choice, and why not camp at Lazy Acres while you're here at Texas Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Texas Pond a
relatively wet spot; July is the month that gets the most rain while November is ordinarily the driest month. At Texas Pond during the summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the
wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Texas Pond tend to be in the 20's.

Smith Lake
 | Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
McFadyen Lake
 | I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo. We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so.... |
