If you are in Cumberland county it's always a good idea to stop by Texas Pond. If the weather is great here at Texas Pond, you can go for a hike along the Fish Camp Trail, and paddling on Cape Fear is so much fun. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Texas Pond Dam. There's so much to do here at Texas Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lazy Acres is a brilliant place for that. Yeah, come here to Texas Pond for a magnificent time.

| | Smith Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Group Camp Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Spring Lake/Fort Bragg Super 8 Motel, and Texas Pond is not far at all from Fayetteville. camp Fayetteville Koa is a nice site to do that; after a long day outdoors Wellons Gateway Inn is a nice location to spend a night or two. All through the summertime at Texas Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night
sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Texas Pond. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Little River; a lake close
by is Bonnie Doone Lake. A large amount of rain falls at Texas Pond; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is November.
