Not far from Texas Lake you obtain some fine water scenery at Texas Pond Dam; if you need a location to stay Wellons Gateway Inn is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Little River, and going for a hike on the American Beech Trail is always a magnificent adventure. High temperatures at Texas Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. For the       duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Texas Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course close to Texas Lake is King's Grant Golf Club, and you can go for a hike on the Group Camp Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cape Fear; Texas Lake is not the only place close by,                  Texas Pond is a close by lake. Yeah, come here to Texas Lake for a splendid time. A tremendous location to camp here at Texas Lake is Fayetteville Koa, and you're sure to bump into some smiling people from Fayetteville here. Don't leave Texas Lake without first going for a hike along the Fish Camp Trail, and if you've had enough of Texas Lake, Simmons Lake is nearby. Texas Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy Acres is a splendid local campground; Spring Lake/Fort Bragg Super 8 Motel is a splendid site to get some rest.
