Get wet paddling on Little River, and Texas Pond Dam is delightful. People from Fayetteville love to come to Texas Lake, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Fish Camp Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the neighborhood of Texas Lake. A lake nearby is Simmons Lake, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the American Beech Trail. Float down                  the rapids of Cape Fear in a kayak; the Group Camp Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. Texas Lake commonly gets a large amount of precipitation; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and November meanwhile is the driest month.
