A magnificent spot to camp here at Taylor Lake is Sunset Park Campground, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Stedman Lake is one of those nearby. For the period of the summertime at Taylor Lake       temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Taylor Lake during the wintertime mostly sink into the 20's. Buck Island Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Taylor Lake; Moores Knob Trail is a great local trail. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Taylor Lake will keep                  you coming back repeatedly. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Window Falls, and there's wonderful hiking along the Cascade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little spree to Taylor Dam while you're here at Taylor Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge King. Taylor Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hanging Rock State Park is a tremendous local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Dan River. You should absolutely explore Hanging Rock if you're here at Taylor Lake; there are plenty of people from Winston-Salem here. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Big Creek. Lakes are brilliant; Scott Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Taylor Lake.
