Stump Pond is a lake worth visiting. If the weather is glorious here at Stump Pond, you can go for a hike along the Uwharrie National Recreation Trail, and you can stay the night at Norwood Camping Resort. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn Albemarle. There's so much to do here at Stump Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Whip-o-will Family Campground is a perfect location for that. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Alligator Branch

If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rocky River; if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Albemarle, Nc is a nice choice. Pond get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Stump Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Whohoo,
so many exciting things in one place! Stump Pond rules! Don't leave Stump Pond without first paying a visit to Rocky River Springs, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Uwharrie River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Stump Pond a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month is April.
