Cowhole Branch flows through this vicinity. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Stroud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Maxwell Mill Campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Stroud Pond a wet place; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October. There are other places here than Stroud Pond, for example Hussey Pond. There's so       much to do here at Stroud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Whippoorwill Campground is a glorious location for that. During the warm days of summer at Stroud Pond highs are mostly in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
