You'll meet a lot of people from Henderson here, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Henderson. This lake is so wonderful. Tar River is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Strickland Pond; magnificent water scenery is available at Strickland Pond Dam in the vicinity of Strickland Pond. A round of golf at nearby Bull       Creek Golf & Country Club is a magnificent way to kill some time. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Strickland Pond with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Strickland Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Strickland Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and April is when it's the                  driest. If you came for an overnight stay Steele Creek Marina is a tremendous site to camp, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Mitchiners Pond. So many entertaining things near Strickland Pond, completely incredible.
