Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Andy Cove is a fine place to spend some time at, and a brilliant place for whitewater       paddling is Davidson River. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Looking for some flowing water? Try Allison Creek; Davidson River is a nice whitewater spot close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Straus Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Straus Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures                  are in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 40's while Straus Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. Camp Carolina is a tremendous local campground, and there are great locations to discover along the Mullinax Trail.
