Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Stillwell Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. Paddling on Catawba River - South Fork is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Stillwell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Springs Campground is a good location for that. Stillwell Lake regularly gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most while April is mostly                  the driest month. Ramsey Creek is a fine local stream, and Highland Creek Golf Club is a golf course close by.
