If you like lakes and you're in this part of North Carolina you can check out Starnes Cove Lakes. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do close to Starnes Cove Lakes. If you get bored of Starnes Cove Lakes, you could also stop by close by Thrash Lake; J and J Fishing Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. | | to camp, and soar down the rapids of French Broad River in a kayak. Going for a hike on the Laurel Mountain Trail is always a glorious adventure; get yourself into a kayak and hit Walnut Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Asheville here at Starnes Cove Lakes, and why not camp at Bear Creek RV Park and Campground since you're here at Starnes Cove Lakes. most of the rain falls through July while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Starnes Cove Lakes reach the
80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Starnes Cove Lakes dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There
is a great hiking trail close to Starnes Cove Lakes called the Side Hill Trail, and Starnes Cove Fishing Lake Dam is not far at all from Starnes Cove Lakes. Near Starnes Cove Lakes you come across the Shut-In Trail which is a good
hiking trail, and while you're here, you might as well pop by Luther Gap. So much enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just remarkable. Deaver View Mountain is charming and can be seen from Starnes Cove Lakes, and if
you have time, Blue Ridge Parkway is a national park worth visiting. After a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Asheville West is a good spot to spend a night or two, and magnificent skiing awaits you at Wolf Laurel. Not enough hours
in a day to enjoy this place. Comfort Inn West is a great location to get some rest, and you can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Ski Beech. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
