Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Starnes Cove Lakes. You'll meet a lot of folks from Asheville here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Starnes Cove Lakes you hit upon the Shut-In Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and there are other spots here than Starnes Cove Lakes, for example J and J Fishing Lake. Skiing at Wolf Laurel is one of those things you just have to do, and if you       need a site to stay Comfort Inn West is a tremendous choice. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Going for a hike on the Laurel Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure; camping is available at French Broad River Campground. Camping at Bear Creek RV Park and Campground is always a great experience, and from Starnes Cove Lakes you obtain a delightful sight of Deaver View Mountain. Starnes Cove Lakes frequently gets a large amount of precipitation;                  of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Starnes Cove Lakes through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Starnes Cove Lakes plunge into the 20's. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You might want to pay a visit to Luther Gap while you're here at Starnes Cove Lakes, and soar down the rapids of French Broad River in a kayak. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Walnut Creek; lovely scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Ski Beech. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Starnes Cove Fishing Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and a great close by hotel is Red Roof Inn Asheville West. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is so good!
