    What a nice lake Spruce Pine Reservoir is. Everybody loves Bailey Meadows, and Lemon Tree Inn is a nice place to get some rest. Summertime at Spruce Pine Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Spruce Pine Reservoir overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. Raven Cliffs is a great place to go to while in the region, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. Beaver Creek Spruce Pine Supply Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's next to Spruce Pine Reservoir, and why not pop by Haw Cove also while you're here. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Grassy Creek Golf & Country Club is a golf course in close proximity to Spruce Pine Reservoir,  
               and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Noname.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Spruce Pine Reservoir. The Laurel Fork Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Spruce Pine Reservoir, and Bear Ben Family Campground is a good campground here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pinebridge Inn is a pleasant choice, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Appalachian Mountain. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Spruce Pine Reservoir is a great site to camp, Springmaid Mountain is a great site, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Falls of Gouges Creek.
I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Spruce Pine Reservoir. You can run the rapids of North Toe River near Spruce Pine Reservoir, and if you fancy a little side spree, try Bearpen Gap. Spruce Pine Reservoir gets much water; the month with most of the rain is July; October is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Gotta ski! Hawksnest is a good place to do that.
A great location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Spruce Pine Reservoir is Catawba River - North Fork, and the view of picturesque Big Bald is splendid.
