A stunning lake like Mallard Lake Lower right next door to Speas Lakes is a glorious site to explore, and the Cooks Wall Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. Barkers Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and a round of golf at nearby Grandview Golf Club is a magnificent way to kill some time. Paddling on Big Creek is so much fun. People from Winston-Salem love to come to Speas Lakes; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Moores Knob Trail.

warm months highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Speas Lakes. This lake is
so wonderful. Piatts Lake Dam is not far at all from Speas Lakes. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Speas Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Jomeokee Campground.
