A pleasant close by hotel is Sleep Inn Henderson; get yourself into a kayak and hit Tar River. Be careful coming to South Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If you need a site to stay Henderson-Days Inn is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Little Fishing Creek in a kayak; camping at Nutbush Bridge Campground is always a fine experience. Throughout       the days of summer here at South Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while South Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. South Lake is a reasonably wet place commonly with lots of precipitation; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April is the month with the least moisture. Mill                  Creek flows through this area; this is a popular site for people from Henderson.
