Through the months of summer at South Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for South Lake tend to be in the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes South Lake a relatively wet place; July is the month that gets the most rain while April is ordinarily the driest month. You'll need       more than a day to look at everything South Lake has to offer, you can camp at Steele Creek Marina, and hey, Mill Creek is a glorious local stream. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Sleep Inn Henderson is a great choice, and pleasant water scenery is available at South Lake Dam in close proximity to South Lake. Paddling on Little Fishing Creek is so much fun; there are plenty of folks from Henderson here. So many entertaining things                  to do at South Lake, so little time. South Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Nutbush Bridge Campground is a great place to camp nearby.
