Smiths Lake is a nice lake to visit. Going for a hike on the Little Creek Loop Trail is always a good adventure. Smiths Lake is a wet spot that gets much rainfall; all through July this area sees the most rain; November on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Fayetteville-Days Inn North/Wade/I-95/Exit 58 is a fine place to spend a night or two, and Fayetteville Koa is a brilliant campground nearby.

At Smiths Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
