A nice site to camp here at Smith Lake is Lumber River Campground and Trail Rides, and hey, Big Swamp is a great local stream. Smith Lake is a quite wet place mostly with lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most while April is commonly the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Smith       Lake with night lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Smith Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
