Camping at Cane Creek Campground and RV Park is always a good experience, and if you've had enough of Sizemore Lake, Patterson Lake is close by. High temperatures at Sizemore Lake all through the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's.  | My wife and I decided to give this route a try, and we found that a couple of miles down river from the put-in site, there is a big dam that is at least 20 feet tall with no way around it. We ended up walking 2 miles back to the car to come pick up our kayaks. When we got home we looked at satellite pictures using google maps and it looks like there are 2 more dams before you would reach the take out site. I do NOT recommend this route. Paddlers beware!... |
