I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Simpson Lake. On a brilliant day at Simpson Lake you can take a hike along the Mullinax Trail; get dripping wet paddling on Looking Glass Creek. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just fantastic. Simpson Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and camping is available at Camp Rockbrook.       You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Simpson Lake. Allison Creek is a great local stream; a wonderful place to camp here at Simpson Lake is Camp Carolina. Connestee Falls Golf Club is a great golf course nearby, and a good nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Brevard. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and at Simpson Lake                  you always meet someone from Brevard. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Davidson River, and from Simpson Lake you obtain a good vista of Bearpen Mountain. All year is a wonderful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you love the outdoors. You could also go to Lake Frances if you're here at Simpson Lake; it's nearby; Dodsworth Spring is a splendid local attraction. For the period of the summertime highs here at Simpson Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Simpson Lake sink into the 20's. Simpson Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March while October is regularly the driest month. Nearby lakes? Sure, Siniard Lake is near Simpson Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Simpson Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
