After a long day outdoors Wellons Gateway Inn is a great location to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Fish Camp Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lazy Acres is a good place to do that, and Simmons Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Fayetteville Koa is a perfect local campground. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors,       just come on down to Simmons Lake. Simmons Lake is right by the American Beech Trail, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Little River. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cape Fear; a lake close by is Texas Lake. While you're here at Simmons Lake you can play some golf at King's Grant Golf Club; Simmons Lake is not the only location nearby, Texas Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful.
