This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something next to Silver Lake? Lyday Lake is in the neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Asheville Airport. Silver Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on       up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You get a delightful view of Big Knob from Silver Lake, and Silver Lake is not the only location nearby, Forge Mountain Grist Mill Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; Little River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. Through the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Silver                  Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's while Silver Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This place, Silver Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is High Vista Country Club, and as expected, all our national parks are good sites to have a look at and Blue Ridge Parkway is no exception. There are plenty of folks from Asheville here at Silver Lake, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Mullinax Trail. Yeah, come here to Silver Lake for a good time. Silver Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Mountain Laurel Resort is a great place to camp nearby, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Shut-In Trail. You completely have to love the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Silver Lake you hit upon great sites like Mullinax Cove. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Beech, and Fairfield Inn By Marriott Asheville is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bradley Creek is close to Silver Lake and is always a delight to visit; you can stay the night at Lake Powhatan Campground.
