Why not stop by Silver Lake if you're passing through these parts. Get covered with water paddling on Little River, and Silver Lake is right by the Mullinax Trail. Take a hike on the Laurel Mountain Trail; Forge Mountain Grist Mill Dam is pretty. Very beautiful scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Ski Beech, and soar down the rapids of Davidson River in a kayak.

| | vicinity of Silver Lake that are brilliant to go to, and Forge Mountain Grist Mill Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking along the Shut-In Trail is great fun; if you need a site to stay Greens View Lodge is a great choice. So much exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just mind-boggling. A great sight of gorgeous Big Knob is available from Silver Lake, and camping is
available at Mountain Laurel Resort. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because High Vista Country Club is close at hand, and this is a popular place for folks from Asheville. Silver Lake gets
a lot of water; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is October.
Silver Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. And that's not all you can do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, you
may feel that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Silver Lake. Etowah Valley Country Club is a glorious location to get some rest, and why not camp at Lake Powhatan Campground since you're here at Silver Lake.
Summertime at Silver Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Silver Lake tend to be in the 20's.
