Sherwood Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. All the outdoors entertaining things in the neighborhood of Sherwood Lake will keep you coming back many times. Don't leave Sherwood Lake without first going for a hike along the Side Hill Trail, and LeRoy Lake is a       nearby lake that you could take a look at. Since you're here at Sherwood Lake why not have a look at Buckeye Cove, and paddling on Swannanoa River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Jones Mountain is easy to spot from Sherwood Lake, and if you have time, Blue Ridge Parkway is a national park worth a visit. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains,                  you might not ever wanna return back home again. Sherwood Lake is not far at all from Asheville, and there's fine hiking along the Shut-In Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Asheville East KOA is a great place to camp; if you get bored of Sherwood Lake you could also have a look at nearby Davis Lake. That right there is a lot of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Skiing at Wolf Laurel is one of those things you just ought to do, and getting to Beetree Creek from Sherwood Lake is simple. Mama Gertie's Hideaway is a great campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Asheville/North Carolina Days Inn. Sherwood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
