Shattalon Lake is a quite wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and November is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Winston-Salem is a good place to spend a night or two; there's perfect hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott       Winston-Salem, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Yadkin River. Shattalon Lake is right by the Cascade Trail, and Shattalon Lake Dam is a beautiful location, unquestionably worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Grandview Golf Club; unsurprisingly Bill Branch flows through this area. So many enjoyable things to do here at Shattalon Lake, too tremendous to be true. The Moores Knob Trail offers hiking at its best, and                  Jomeokee Campground is a pleasant local campground. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River. All through the long summer days highs here at Shattalon Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Shattalon Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Doug Young Lake Number Two, and why not camp at Tanglewood Family Resort while you're here at Shattalon Lake. This is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes.
