This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Yadkin River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Clinard Lake, and hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is brilliant fun. Shattalon Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; during March this area sees the       most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture. Shattalon Lake in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Camping at Tanglewood Family Resort is always a pleasant experience, and Shattalon Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a brilliant little journey to Bill Branch; Grandview Golf Club is a golf course close by. Camping is available at Jomeokee Campground, and not                  far from Shattalon Lake you'll discover Grandview Golf Lake which is a charming lake. Hilton Garden Inn WinstonSalem/Hanes Mall is a magnificent place to get some rest, and there are plenty of people from Winston-Salem here at Shattalon Lake. There are some good whitewater spots on Dan River. All through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Shattalon Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
