Why not check out nearby Bashavia Creek while you're here at Shallowford Lakes, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Grandview Golf Club is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful.       Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yadkin River, and nearby you hit upon the Cooks Wall Trail which is a great hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Moores Knob Trail is always a great adventure; camping is available at Pioneer Village Family Campground. Shallowford Lakes regularly gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is November. There are plenty of people from Winston-Salem here at Shallowford                  Lakes, and why not visit Shallowford Lakes Dam Number One while you're here. This lake is so wonderful.
