A visit to Scott Lake is always a good idea. There's so much to do here at Scott Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunset Park Campground is a great spot for that, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hemlock Golf Course is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Hanging Rock State Park is a great location to do that; don't leave Scott Lake without first going for a hike along the Hanging Rock Trail. place, undeniably worth a visit.
At Scott Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight
here at Scott Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do in close proximity to Scott Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Dan River offers some great whitewater, and wonderful hiking is available along the
Cascade Trail. Scott Lake gets lots of water; September is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest.
