It's always fun to stop by Scott Lake. Scott Lake gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls during September, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Winston-Salem, and a good close by hotel is Econo Lodge King. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hemlock Golf Course is close at hand, and Flat Shoals Creek is near Scott Lake and is always a pleasure to check out. Good hiking

There's nice hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail, also Scott Lake Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River. There's so much to do here at Scott Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is a wonderful site for that. Summertime brings highs
in the 80's to Scott Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Scott Lake are in the 20's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the
cool things at Scott Lake. Don't leave Scott Lake without first going for a hike along the Hanging Rock Trail, and a lake nearby is Camelot Woods Lake.
