Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Sapphire Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Westridge is a fine place to camp, and if you're here why not have a look at Dead Heifer Gap. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might       not ever wanna return back home again. Golf can be played at Sapphire Lakes Country Club, and Intermont Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Panther Ridge RV Park and Community is a nice campground nearby, and a good nearby hotel is Sapphire Valley Resort. You don’t have to go far from Sapphire Lake to see the water at Sapphire Lake Dam; since you're here, you could also explore                  striking Hogback Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Sapphire Lake a pretty wet location; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is a heap of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Toxaway River - Upper, and Bearpen Mountain is a peak you can make out from Sapphire Lake. Good hiking is available along the Foothills Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Thompson River. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Sapphire Lake has it all. While you're here at Sapphire Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Brevard, and why not take a little tour to Burlingame Creek if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sapphire Lake; Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is a tremendous local trail; after a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a perfect place to spend a night or two.
