Summertime highs at Sapphire Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Sapphire Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. Don't leave Sapphire Lake without first going for a hike along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Burlingame       Creek. Sapphire Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while April is generally the driest month. Having a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. Glide down the rapids of Thompson River in a kayak, and Sapphire Lake is not far at all from Brevard. So many amusing things to do at Sapphire Lake, so little time. Stay the night at Westridge; dry warm beds await you at Old Edwards                  Inn and Spa. This lake is so wonderful. There are brilliant places to look at along the Foothills Trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Sapphire Lakes Country Club is always a delight. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Sapphire Valley Resort is a great site to get some rest; one of the overriding characteristics of the surroundings of Sapphire Lake is Bearpen Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. At Sapphire Lake Dam near Sapphire Lake there are some exciting things to see, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Intermont Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Toxaway River - Upper. Lakes are wonderful; Hogback Lake is a lake that's near Sapphire Lake. This place is so good, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do next to Sapphire Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sapphire Lake has to offer, you can camp at Panther Ridge RV Park and Community, and while you're here why not stop by Dead Heifer Gap.
