This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Sampson Pond, do take a trip to Orton Point, and Orton Pond is a great lake nearby. So many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Sampson Pond, absolutely mind-blowing. If you're here at Sampson Pond,       you could stop by Orton Creek, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Motsu Spoil Disposal Dike. Enjoy a round of golf at Olde Fort Golf Course not far from Sampson Pond; you can stay the night at Woodside Campground. The warmest time of the year at Sampson Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Sampson Pond dipping                  down into the 30's through winter nights. Swamps like Big Bay are fun to take a look at, and the wonderful people of Wilmington like to hang out nearby. Sampson Pond gets a great deal of water; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is April. This lake is so wonderful.
