This lake is so wonderful. Brushy Fork Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; going for a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Good hiking is available along the Cascade Trail; near Salem Lake you discover a golf course called Reynolds Park Golf Course. Go for a hike on the Hanging Rock Trail. Much precipitation falls at Salem Lake; the month of March       is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Salem Lake. Salem Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Tanglewood Family Resort is a glorious local campground, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Dan River. This lake is so wonderful. Piedmont Quarry is a wonderful place any time of year, and people from Winston-Salem love to come here.                  If you need a place to stay Myer Lee Motel is a tremendous choice, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River. Camping at Humphrey's Ridge Camp is always a splendid experience; dry warm beds await you at Winston Motel. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes. Myers Pond is a lake in the vicinity; do pop by Salem Lake Dam if you're here. High temperatures at Salem Lake during the summer are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 60's.
