There's whitewater on Big Hungry Creek for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here at Runaway Farm Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Creekside Mountain Camping is a fine site for that. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains rules! A day on the slopes of Ski Beech is just what you need, and if the weather is lovely, you obtain a wonderful       vista of Bald Rock from Runaway Farm Lake. The yearly rain here at Runaway Farm Lake is about average; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. You need to stop at Hog Rock if you're here at Runaway Farm Lake, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Hendersonville Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always                  check out close by Larry Ball Lake. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Runaway Farm Lake. Blue Ridge Parkway is a very great location to take a look at near Runaway Farm Lake; you can stay the night at Blue Ridge Travel Trailer Park. Summertime at Runaway Farm Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Runaway Farm Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Runaway Farm Lake, you'll hit upon Hoopers Creek Lake which is a picturesque lake; you can take a little spree to Runaway Farm Lake Dam since you're here at Runaway Farm Lake. You might want to pay a visit to Mills Gap while you're here at Runaway Farm Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Green River. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some nearby water includes Big Branch; a fine close by hotel is The Esmeralda Inn at Lake Lure. This lake is so wonderful.
