The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. An average amount of rain falls at Royall Lake; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Royall Lake you can take a hike along the Dogwood Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Mitchell River offers       some perfect whitewater. Royall Lake Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's next to Royall Lake, and a pleasant close by hotel is High Meadows Inn Motel. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to North Prong South Fork Mitchell River, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Country Side Golf Course. Having a pleasant time at Royall Lake is easy. Royall                  Lake is not the only place nearby, Lake Laurel is a nearby lake, and a nice site to camp here at Royall Lake is Carrollwood Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Holly Ridge Family Campground is always a perfect experience, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Fisher River. Through the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Royall Lake, and the overnight is quite colder of course, typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Royall Lake tend to be in the 10's. All year is a wonderful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you love the outdoors.
