It's always fun to stop by Rothgeb Pond. Through the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Rothgeb Pond. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rothgeb Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Raleigh-Cary here, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Neuse River. This lake is so wonderful. Guys Pond

Guy's Pond is a great place to fish. As of my latest fishing trip on 1/25/2009, it was $3 per person and $4 per night camping. Also, 14 years of age and younger were free! This is a great pond. While you are fishing, you can watch the cows, and/or the horses. The pond is much better than Pope's Lake. They kicked us out of that lake on the same day as my trip to Guy's Pond. I rate this pond as a 10 and suggest anyone in the area looking for a fishing hole should try Guy's Pond.... |
