Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Value Place Shelby is a delightful spot to get some rest, and dry warm beds await you at Shelby-Days Inn. People from Shelby love to come to Ross Pond; Ross Pond is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Caretakers Cottage is a magnificent place to camp nearby. At Ross Pond during the summer highs are in the 80's; the overnight is a tad colder of       course, generally in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Ross Pond fall into the 20's. For you golfers we recommend nearby Pine Grove Golf Club, and while you're here, you could also go to scenic Hendricks Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kings Branch, and you can stay the night at Kings Mountain State Park. A lot of precipitation falls at Ross Pond; May is                  the month that gets the most rain while January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
