Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a place to stay Value Place Shelby is a wonderful choice, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kings Branch. There's so much to do here at Ross Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Caretakers Cottage is a pleasant location for that, and if you're visiting from Shelby, you won't be the       only one. A magnificent close by hotel is Shelby-Days Inn, and you're perhaps keen on lakes, Hendricks Lake is one of those close by. Ross Pond gets lots of water; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Grove Golf Club is a tremendous golf course close by, and First Broad is a splendid whitewater spot nearby. This is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes. Kennedy Lake                  is a lake in the vicinity; Ross Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Kings Mountain State Park is a perfect local campground. At Ross Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
