Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Watauga River, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sugar Mountain. Camping at Flintlock Campground is always a glorious experience; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hawksnest since you're here. There's just no way anyone can get bored

There is a good hiking trail next to Rosasco Lake Upper called the Yancey Ridge Trail; the fine people of Boone like to hang out nearby. Through the summertime here at Rosasco Lake Upper, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's. Summer
nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's while Rosasco Lake Upper overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Any time is a good time at Rosasco Lake Upper if
you fancy the outdoors. You're probably into lakes, Different Drum Lake is one of those nearby, and you might also want to pay a visit to Council Gap while you're here at Rosasco Lake Upper.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave
Rosasco Lake Upper without first paying a visit to Dutch Creek Falls, and the Daniel Boone Scout Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. Rosasco Lake Upper regularly gets a lot of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain,
and the driest month of the year is December. You can make out Baird Mountain from Rosasco Lake Upper, and nearby you stumble on the Iron Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
